Rickrolled - What on earth is a rickroll?

Rickrolling is an internet phenomena that has spread through the internet like a plague and has begun to rank up there as one of the most popular pranks ever imagined on the net. In the words of Wikipedia, the definition of a rickroll is given as follow:

Rickrolling is an Internet meme typically involving the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up". The meme is a bait and switch: a person provides a web link that he or she claims is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Astley video. The URL can be masked or obfuscated in some manner so that the user cannot determine the true destination of the link without clicking. When a person clicks on the link and is led to the web page, he or she is said to have been "Rickrolled" (also spelled Rickroll'd).
In case you didn't understand that "rickrolled" definition since it might have been filled with a lot of jargon and such, let's say this in simpler terms. A rickroll is when you trick someone into clicking a link, which leads them to a playing video of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up". This is not a concrete definition, as there are several ways of rickrolling someone apart from using a video, and these are briefly talked about in the section "Rickroll Someone in Different Ways".

By the way, in case you you've never watched Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up", it's the video above. I guess I can say, you just got rickrolled! Well, maybe not really... Until you the video plays anyway... You can thank me for not setting it to autoplay. =P
